REQ: Strip or Extract&Strip option

Description

Please consider adding an option to strip things from mkvs.

It would be helpful sometimes to remove from the original mkv the parts that are being extracted.

Why? Some devices don't recognize subtitles properly unless they are seperate from the video file.

Thanks.

I’m not clear on what you are asking. You can already extract subtitles from files, for example. Please provide an example of what you expect MKVCleaver to do exactly and elaborate with a bit more details.

I think what he means is that whatever you extract using MKVCleaver can also removed from the original MKV file. For example, a mkv with video and audio, if you extract audio the mkv will only keep the video.

Ah, I see ! That is not possible then. A track can be disabled, for example, but it will still be inside the container. There is currently no way to remove an object from a mkv file without creating a new file.
