Hi,
Error with last version 0.8.0.2 : can’t load mediainfo DLL !?
Please either install MediaInfo package on your system or download MediaInfo DLL and place it in the same directory as MKVCleaver is being run in.
MediaInfo Package v25.10
MediaInfo DLL v25.10 Zip
Hi,
New error during extracting: The JSON option file mkv_cmd.json contains an error : JSON options files must contain an array composed only of JSON strings
Hmm. Possibly a bug.
Would you mind filing a bug ? If you could provide a debug log and a file that causes the error, it would make troubleshooting easier.
BTW, does this happen with all the files or just some ?
I tried with 2 files … same error ! I can give a file but you must explain how to provide a debug log.
BTW, at the opening, the program ask to contact internet …why ?
It connects to the Internet to check for updates. Turn it off by clicking on Settings → Update Check → Do Not Check For Updates.
To enable debug click on Settings → Debug → On then restart MKVcleaver.
Add a file that causes the problem and extract. Do not close the app after. Zip up DebugLog.txt and mkv_cmd.json files (these files will be in the same path as MKVcleaver executable) and attach it when filing a bug report.
If the mkv file is larger than 100MB, please go to https://ft.sapib.ca and click on Drop Off button then follow the instructions to upload a file.
They ask a recipient on the site for my files !?
My bad. Completely slipped my mind.
Use my email: sheck at sapib dot ca
New error : “Sorry, I could not send your files. The server said Error: chunk name missing.”
What do they mean ? (sorry i’m french) I used this email : Sheck
I just sent you an invite to drop the files off. There should be a link in the email. Try that.
I got the error resolved. You should be able to upload the files now.
Done ! Thanks.
Do you mind posting custom.ini here or emailing that file to me (same email as I gave above) ?
I can see the error in the debug log, but cannot make it happen on my PC.
There is a possibility that some setting that I do not have set is causing the issue.
The debug log also shows that you are running MKVcleaver with Admin rights. That is not recommended.
Please run MKVcleaver with standard user permissions and see if the error still happens.
Moved the conversation to the bug report #1632.
Please post all further comments under this bug.
I went through the code today and cannot find lines that cause the issue you reported. I need more information.
Please provide me with you custom.ini file contents and the contents of the log right after the extraction of a file that causes the issue.
To save the log to a file go to Tools → Log Viewer. Right click anywhere in the log window and select Export Log then under Save As Type dropdown, select Text Files (*.txt) and save.
